David Colley

David was born in Richardson, Texas, in 1954 and graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1990. After graduating law school, David had the honor of serving as briefing attorney to Chief Justice William J. Cornelius of the Court of Appeals for the 6th District of Texas in Texarkana, Texas. David then moved to Dallas, where he joined David Pruessner in the appellate law section of Fletcher & Springer, L.L.P.

While David has handled a broad range of civil litigation, he now specializes in disputes involving insurance coverage. His practice includes assisting commercial insurance carriers in their efforts to resolve complex and significant coverage disputes with their insureds, advancing carriers’ coverage positions in declaratory judgment actions, defending bad faith claims, pursuing and defending insurance subrogation actions, and monitoring significant claims to protect the interests of excess carriers.
